I call them auntie/uncle. It's wierd calling someone ammi abbu when they aren't your parents.

i call mine ammi abu... my hubz calls my parents aunty and uncle when he's talking to them, but at home if he's talking to me about my parents, he calls them Mum and dad... hmm it gets confusing cus he calls his parents mum and dad too, so i have no idea sometimes who he is referring to

seriously - I would be calling my FIL by his last name - Shah Sb , choudhry sb , Siddiqui sb , Jafri sb - whatever it gona be :snooty:

:hmmm:

I address my in laws by their names. I asked them when i first met them how they wished i addressed them, and they said by name would be fine.

I have one mother and one father… and those labels are reserved for them and them only.
