in my family every woman calls her husband 'aap' .. always seen that .. even both of my best friends do too..
So when I got engaged, I automatically began with 'aap' too. but my fiance has no issues with tum/aap.. he calls me 'tum' btw. :)
age does play a part, my hubby to be being almost 7 years older.. to i guess a little respect comes naturally. but knowing myself and the way i treat him as friends. i would probably give up the 'aap' thingie soon :D
