So this Canon A510 i bought recently can accomodate a telephoto lens that can increase its current 4X optical zoom by 3 times and make it 12X optical. The telephoto lens however increases its minimum focus distance so it cant be used to mega zoom in on closer objects.
Is there any lens that enables you to focus on objects waaay up close. Something that reduces the camera’s minimum focusing distance?
Anybody know any good website where i can browse all available lens option for this type of camera?
Sincerely,
Captain Lota
Re: Additional lenses for Canon Powershot A510
while the A510 has a decent macro mode.. 5cm at wide end.. you could expand coverage by adding a Wide Angle Converter
**Wide Converter WC-DC52**

0.7x Wide Converter. Also includes: lens cap, lens dust cap, and soft case.
**requires Conversion Lens Adapter LA-DC52F for use with the A510 & A520

Mr PA thanks for the info. Just after i posted this i went through the camera's manual and came across the Macro Focus mode. Its a pretty useful feature actually. Tried it and the results are great.
