Does anyone know roughly how much PIA charge for additional baggage flying from Heathrow, London to Islamabad?

Yes it does depend on how much you are overweight by. I just wondered if anyone knew how much they charge per kilo.

i think its 10 or 12 pounds per kg.
i was 20kg over when i was going Karachi couple of years ago.
u can 'negotiate' a much lower price though. i ended up paying 150 pounds in the end.

Didn't realise it was as much as that...it's probably just as expensive as sending things through the post then cos I recently sent a 2kg package to Islamabad and I was charged just under £20 for that.

i just sent some docs tracked-delivery and ParcelForce charged me £25. Day light robber i tells ya !
and a word of warning...make sure ur handcarry isnt over 8 kg. you will go through the check-in but they will chk, stop and Charge u if its over the limit. i paid for that too :-(
i could have brought me another ticket to pakiland with the excess i ended up paying..haha !

fly emirates...i was carrying a few extra kgs ..they did'nt charge me anything

Make sure if you pay for exccess baggage, ask for Receipt & refuse to pay without receipt.

Actually I don't know about PIA from UK but here from US, everytime my handcarry was over 8kg for PIA, I never had to pay.
I don't know about now though since they are gonna pay much more attention :(

Well with the hand baggage, I always have waaaaay over 8kg in that cos they don’t weigh it. Last time I went I denied having hand baggage (had someone else minding the bag 
) as I already had my handbag and a laptop bag and thought they might get funny about a third piece of carry on.
Obviously in light of recent events I expect everything will be much stricter now.
Don’t want to use another airline as I like to fly direct to Islamabad from london and also PIA allow 40kg as opposed to emirates and gulf air who only allow around 20kg.
It’s still never enough though.

Yeah I like PIA. Only if they would change the stop @ Manchester Airport and make it direct from Chicago-to-Lahore
