Addiction Of Intoxicant

Being a Muslim, we know very well such drugs, drinks or any other things which makes a person in intoxication are forbidden (cosidered Haram). Such drugs, drinks etc., I think forbidden in also many other religions too. Peoples aware that is forbidden (Haram) but still they use/do it. I wonder what could be the reason for committing such sin?

Hazrat Adam and Amma Hawwa were warned not to go near that tree , but they disobeyed the commandment of Allah(SWT) .
I guess it is human nature to test/try all forbidden things. Some will just do that try once and twice and that is the end of it but some get hooked that is why they are forbidden as they are addictive.

Slightly, I disagree that it is human nature to test/try all forbidden things. I mean a person fully aware from the law and by doing such thing/act's concequence will be negative for him/her even though that person try and get astray from the right path. There must be a reason for this.

Humans r complex beings.....and there r more than a couple faculties at play that make us think and act in a way that we do...... knowing something is not exactly the same as believing it from the bottom of the heart......and even belief has various levels......

this thread remind me a news hhmm yesterday!! around 25 people deies in punjab area due to posined alcohal and in that news the clip was showing peoples gahter around for their fateha etc etc...
about topic its just weakness of Iman of a person who using it na khofe khuda na Rasool SAW.

There is a actually a pleasure center in our brain (Amygdala) which also plays a role in addiction..I don't want to get into neuroanatomy but there are people who are genetically predisposed to getting 'addicted' versus others. This is by no means a justification but it may explain why certain people get addicted to intoxicants more than others.

I would like to know how this pleasure center (amygdala) in our brain plays role in addiction as well as how genetically predisposed get us in getting addicted.

I would say that it's human nature to grab for fire first before man grabs for the straight path.
