Addicted to this album, every track is truly a gem.
My picks:
Tum Kheti Ho - The best track from the Album, and arguably the best track ever made in Pakistan!!
Aao Aaj Phir - A beautiful melancholic track with some awesome flute play. The melody compliments the lyrics PERFECTLY. A masterpiece!
Aashna - Listening to this track, Na Tu Ayegi comes to mind…but this one even surpasses that in terms of the musical arrangments…flutes again steal the show!
Intezar - This one just sweeps you off your feet…overflowing with energy and sung to perfection by JJ…really cool one, which was [is??] included in the soundtrack of Shoaib Mansoor’s much awaited flick ‘Yeh Barf Humari Hai’.
and of course…
DIL KI BAAT - The title track of the album, only one thing can be said about it - its just pure GENIUS! It took Junaid 6 years to figure out how to arrange this song…such is the complexity of the beats in it [listen carefully and you’ll figure it]…it was to be part of his first solo album, but they could never work around the beats…they finally did, for this album, to some amazing results. Pure aural ecstasy, this song. A perfect fusion ofwestern instruments and eastern arrangments.
All in all this album is SPECTACULAR… :k::k: …its really the best ever from Junaid Jamshed and a gem of an album from Pakistan! It was overlooked by most, but JJ’s last truly deserves a much greater audience!
