adderall

Quite alot of college students are abusing this presciriptive drug. So yes, having the exams near by I was like what the heck I’ll try it too. Some kid sold it to a friend for like 6$ each while that jerk gets it for like 50cents each. Khair this med is for people with ADD and ADHD, but I guess it helps anyone focus. I took it and OMG I FELT SICK! 15mg and I thought I will die, BUT it made me so focused that I freakin’ studied 8 chapters in one night and aced my test the next day. So, has anyone taken it? what are the long term side affects? Did it work for you well when you took it for the first time?

Re: adderall

I believe it's illegal in the UK. AND that is a such a shame. I have an exam next week. My attention span is very low and I'm missing details whilst revising.

For the UKers any focus related drug I can take? Oh and pro plus does not work for me.

Re: adderall

DAMN I wish I used this in college!

Re: adderall

Or you can just start studying earlier, so that you don't need this garbage.

Re: adderall

uh....no thanks. and i do not believe last minute studying can help yyou ace a truly challenging exam.

Re: adderall

wow:eek: during my college I never heard of stuff like this.

Re: adderall

Re: adderall

Re: adderall

I'd take the tablet. For educational purposes! :p

What are you studying again? I wonder if you can help me?

Re: adderall

Shots of adderall + red bull. Knew a kid who did this once while studying for an orgo final.

Re: adderall

i study people. :rotato:

Re: adderall

It's relatively common for M.D.s to take this or other drugs when studying for their board exams. From what I hear, they work great.

I asked hubby about this last night and he said the main thing about addrell that screws up people (the one's he comes across anyways), is that they get addicted. This is a amphetamine based med. that's very addictive so be careful on how often you're taking it.

Also, if you're going to be taking this strong med. on your own....you may want to invest some time and read up on it (especially interactions with other common OTC meds) in order to lessen your risks of a disaster.

Re: adderall

Yea Paheli, I've seen some kids who literally have to take it every-time they're doing homework. I'm guessing no one else here has taken adderrall, but my main concern is that is it normal to have numbness in body, and high pulse-blood pressure. Because not just me, but a friend of mine who also took it for the first time had the symptoms. Its very helpful in focusing but all the illness it caused in that time was ridic.

Re: adderall

wow, iv never heard of this drug!! very sheltered life i lead obviously

Re: adderall

^ Yea those kids are in for a big shock when they realize that they "need" it even after school since their bodies will become addicted to it. They're literally becoming drug addicts!

Hubby has taken it before. I don't know about numbness but I know he also experienced the increased pulse. He ended up choosing something else that worked much better for him. If adderall is giving you the side effects....Ritalin it another option (from what I'm told, it's less intense than adderall). I guess in your case, without seeing a doctor, there's no way to tell if the side effects mean that the drug isn't right for you, or if its interacting with other medications (even over-the-counter stuff), or if the dosage was too high.

Again given the addicting nature of these drugs....combined with the possible side effects...not to mention potential fatal interactions with other drugs you might take....it really is a BAD idea to take this without a doctor's supervision. Also, there are counterfit medications out there....so buying it from someone on the street.....you have no idea where that pill came from and whether or not it's "real".

Go to any doctor (especially) psychiatrist and let them know that the lack of being able to focus is effecting your life/grades etc. etc. etc. Do some reading online about ADHD/ADD. It's not that difficult to get a prescription for this. :)
