Do only eastern women have ada or western too? and what classifies as an ada?

- batting the eyelashes
- playing with a lock of hair
- flipping of the hair

To me it means “mannerism” although in the context of flirting or being coquettish it does mean that it is “put on” & NOT natural !!!

Real adaa needs a degree of sharm o hayaa too to be truly effective hence it is not too common in the Western women anymore..(Italians and French girls still have it though sometimes…esp Italians)
An Urdu poet has defined it perfectly for ever with this verse:
Haathon se munH chupaa lena, sharm se muskuraa dena
Kitna saahil hai haseenon ko bijli giraa dena!
So it is blushing but enticing the male at the same time…
Hasrat Mohani also said it well:
..Woh tera daanTon mein unglee dabaana yaad hai..
all these things are counted as “adaa”…
it IS hard to define but when a girl has it–it is a magical, ephemeral quality, and even if she is plain looking the adaa will make her more attractive to a guy [esp. Eastern guys–esp. desi guys and Arab guys!] than a much prettier girl who doesn’t have adaa.
