Has anyone tried beauty regimens with Apple cider vinegar? I have been reading lots about its use for hair and acne. I’m going to try it this weekend since I just bought a bottle for hair and am testing the toner today. Will tell you my thoughts since I broke out this week. Any experience?
Re: ACV and it's Various Uses
Any treatment with commercial ACV, make sure it is not a cheap brand or make it yourself at home. Water/vinegar like texture of ACV is ordinary and will not be useful for anything. I tried a regular brand from the store for hair and as skin toner but it burned quite alot on my skin and hair did not show any difference. It stimulates bile to increase bile production so I guess people with liver/biles problems should avoid the oral intake.
I do not plan on trying ACV for anything but if I ever wanted to, I'll avoid a commercial brand at all cost & make a natural good quality at home.
Re: ACV and it's Various Uses
2 tablespoons mixed in plain water on empty stomach to be taken orally can be useful for very fat people wanting to get rid of body fat ONLY IF they do not have any existing bile/liver problems. It can act like white wine on liver.
Re: ACV and it's Various Uses
I haven't done this in a while, but it is my favourite diy at home mask/scrub to brighten, soften and remove spots.
I don't remember the exact recipe (I think it's from youtube - bubzbeauty channel) but basically
Cold green tea
A big spoon of honey
A splash of acv
A lot of sugar.
Mix up, apply to skin and leave for 20 minutes, then scrub off.
I really strongly recommend this!
Re: ACV and it's Various Uses
Apparently it can be used for keloids.. Not sure how well it really works though..
Re: ACV and it's Various Uses
From what I have read, it is a miracle substance with a lot of uses and medicinal properties.
There is a lot of information out there for it.
But it should be organic with the 'mother' (sediment) inside.
