Acupuncture

Has anyone tried this? How did you find the experience?

my mom used to have accupuncture treatment for her spondilysis. its a little...umm..painfull but it definately works!

painfull as in..the doctor really pokes you hard!

i never got it done as a complete treatment..but its supposed to work really good..i only once got a sample patch done..it doesn't hurt that much..just a pinchy feeling. But it totally depends on the therapist shahreen. Do make sure you get recommendations from others about that therapist..or ask that therapist to do a test patch. If you feel comfortable..do go ahead..otherwise look for another therapist.

Another alternative i heard from others for accupuncture is accupressure..its done on your accupressure points..but with hands and not needles..and a good therapy for accupressure points is shaitsu.

:)

Qrius, I have had accupresssure done pretty recently to help with my morning sickness. It was really effective. I haven't had accupuncture myself as I am a big kid when it comes to needles but the other day I was talking to a colleague who had accupunture when she was pregnant as her baby was in the breech position (like mine) and she speaks very highly of it.

Monasha, good to hear that it worked for your mother.

shahreen, how about pregnancy massages..have you tried those? be it on massage chairs..sitting straight..or on massage beds. Massage therapists can be helpful too.

Works Like A Charm. It Is A Tingly Treatment. After Which, You Tend To Feel Drowsy, But It Works.

One of my family member has tried it he was having difficult in talking now he is fine....
