we don’t really have any actuaries on GS, but there are some of us who’ve talked about it and work in related areas… its certainly a very rewarding field of work.

They sure are but bear in mind that you'd paying the price with your social life, personal, life, and home life. Actuaries are known to be on the job for long hours each day, even though they are well paid, the job is indeed very demanding.

............I am well aware we dont have any actuary on GS. My colleague's husband (non desi) is an actuary.........he is earning alot and highly in demand. He is very reputable in this profession. I just want students to think about this career. May be in some years we will have an actuary on GS......WHY NOT?
