caring families can be so caring, i can only think of their humility and patience over such a big loss and yet they did not say one word.
as my sister’s wedding took place recently in Pakistan, a very good friend of hers and mine were only 4 sisters.
when my sister and parents went to invite them to my sister’s wedding, they were really sweet.
but the older two sisters had gotten married and lived in other cities, third sister was there and the youngest one was not there.
my family gave them the invite, spent some time at their place, and then took leave.
two days before my sister’s wedding, Aunty called, wished well to my sister on her wedding, & then told her that her youngest daughter just passed away, 16, because of kidney failure.
of course my Mom felt so sorry for Aunty & asked her why she did not tell this earlier.
her words: ‘you were so happy over your daughter’s wedding, we did not want to spoil that happy feeling, but we won’t be able to come to the wedding.’
May Allah swt give place in heavens to the little sister-friend. amen.
this is Allah swt’s miracle that such caring people exist on this earth.
they care for feelings of happiness of others over their own sadness.
