Re: acne remedies
Seriously if it the acne reoccurs constantly go to your doctor an get medicated creams/ lotions. I can not stress this enough. Even when the acne heals it looks like it is gone well its wrong as you are left with scar tissue and this gets worse with time and age even though the skin looks healed it really isn't.
Personally i have had really bad skin through my teens got medicated creams. Now i follow a regime cleanse and moisturise (i still use clean and clear it works for me). Then you exfoliate once or twice a week. Also try to wear uv protection. i don't know about the amount of water you drink affects acne as it never mattered with me.
Re: acne remedies
keep ur skin clean how many times i have to tell u this? ![]()
dont wash ur face too much or else u will strip ur skin of natural oils meaning more acne twice a day is enuf
use cinammon and lemon juice mixture for treating pimples put it on and leave it over night it works
use honey lemon maks for scars and vitamin c gives the skin a glow eat stuff with vitamin c and put stuff with vitamin c on ur face too

Re: acne remedies
oh even the memory of those bad acne days is horrible..keep ur skin clean n oil free.wash face 3-4 times during the day.use mild face wash with ph instead of soap.also good cleansers help.going to a dermatologist on regular basis really helps.reduce oily/fatty foods, junks, pops.healthy diet is must for healthy skin.I used Fade out cream for scars.its available in KSA but not here in canada.but it did make a difference.
Re: acne remedies
Try applying vitamin E oil on your face, and you should include lots of fruits and vegetables in your diet, and drink lots of water.
Mix lime juice and rose water in equal portions and then apply on affected area.Wash it off after 20-30 minutes with only water.
Vitamin E is great for scars but not active acne. Perhaps u're acne needs to be treated with oral medication rathar than just topical lotions and gels. See a derm and combat u're acne from within..
1.) Keep u're hair off u're face
2.) Change u're pillowcase often
3.) Use a mild (medicated) facewash meant for acne-prone/oily skin
4.) Cure dandruff if any
5.) Keep u're hands away from u're face
It's best to consult a dermatologist that can analyze your acne and determine what's causing it and recommend effective treatment.
A healthy diet especially with vitamins A, B, C, E, and Zinc are important for healthy skin. Omega acids which come from sources like fish also help to maintain skin. A multivitamin and cod liver oil can help compensate for nutritional deficiencies.
It's also strongly advisable to avoid touching the face frequently. Wash your face at least twice a day. I know a desi dermatologist who says that people suffering acne should avoid scrubs and advised using Neutrogena cleansers as they are mild.
Some people have found apple cider vinegar to be an effective remedy in healing pimples and reducing redness. Apple cider vinegar (ACV) helps to fade out the scare, kills bacteria, and balances the PH of the skin. After washing face.....don't dry it......keep it wet. Then soak a cotton ball in ACV and gently wipe your face. Let it dry naturally and then use a moisturizer. First try using ACV on an area besides your face to make sure you're not allergic to it.
Vitamin E helps to fade spots gradually. Olive oil contains vitamin E and applying a small amount to the scars can fade spots over time. It is believed that olive oil won't clog pores. But once again, make sure you are not allergic to it.
Drinking sufficient water and eating fruits and veggies is also helpful. People think that scars are spots. That is NOT true at all. Scars are actually tiny holes in your skin that can result from picking a pimple. That's why keep your hands off the pimples. Spots on the other hand are simply annoying red/brown marks that are left behind by pimples.
I know people who have undergone laser treatment for acne. If that is something you're interested in, make sure you do your research and go to a good dermatologist. Sometimes laser treatments are offered at a reasonable price. After a few treatments the spots fade away, the scars are less noticeable. I've also heard that laser treatment shrinks the oil glands that cause acne.........so it keeps skin smoother for longer.
There are many options available that one feels overwhelmed. That is why I suggest going to a dermatologist who can save you time and direct you to the appropriate treatment. Asian/Desi skin has different texture than Caucasian skin.........and it reacts to acne in its own unique way. So it's best to go to a dermatologist who understands our type of skin. Hope this helps and wish you the best. Believe me, I understand how emotionally devastating acne can be.
Re: acne remedies
Soap of Alep is famous for eliminating acne (twice a week or twice a day, it depends of your skin) ! But, its preparation must be based on vegetal soap, not soda !!
Argan oil is also good against acne and others skin problems.
Re: acne remedies
Yes, there is a link between water and acne ! If you don't drink enough water, you will have an excess of sebum and ... growth of pimples !!
Re: acne remedies
^ i knw its true...and i drink a galon a day...but still have acne.
I know that doctors over here say that acne has nothing to do with eating junk food, but some doctors think that an overload on diary products can cause cystic acne. I know if I have too much dairy (milk, pizza, etc) a couple days in a row.....then i start to break out.
I went to the derm doctor a few months ago and she examined my skin and could tell I wasn't drinking much water because the skin wasn't as resilient in some areas. And she said that when you don't drink enough water.......you skin becomes dehydrated. So, your brain tells your skin to start producing excess oil in order to "hydrate" your skin. And then that oil clogs your pores........leading to pimples.
So loading up on sufficient water can't hurt:)
Re: acne remedies
hmm
Water is great for u but it has no connection with acne :) acne causes scarring so it's best to have it treated from within rathar then trying out 101 topical formula's.. always go to a reputed derm or sumone u trust. For the time being use an antibacterial/medicated facewash.. and a tea-tree astringent/toner as well. Even oily/acne prone skin needs a moisturiser (a water-based one)
