Acne Prone Skin...

Please advise some good facial cleanser and concealer for acne prone skin that is available in Lahore… Right now am using Neutrogena oil free cleanser and Etude concealer but the concealer is too oily and am not even satisfied with Neutrogena… Please help..Thanx:)

Re: Acne Prone Skin...

I didn't have a problem with the Neutrogena oil-free cleanser. I've used Cetaphil (cleanser)...which is mild...and I found it to be okay.

Right now I'm using Olay Regenerist Mini Thermal Peel...which is working. But if your skin is acne prone...it may be harsh as it's a bit scrubby.

Try rose water or tea tree toner to control the oil. You can even try tea tree oil for breakouts. Have you consulted a dermatologist.

yes, yesterday i went to dermatologist in doctor’s hospital.. every time the summer starts, 2-3 pimples appear on my skin that leave marks:mad:..

She recommended me to use make-up that is non-comedogenic and oil free…I already use Neutrogena so I wanna change it..and since I have to go to office daily, I am in the habit of applying concealer and I cant stop using it:@:..so I just want to know about the good oil free concealer and cleanser…

what about L’oreal or Clinique concealers?? Any idea??

Re: Acne Prone Skin...

Use besan to wash your face.
OR
Dabur neem soap.

I don’t use L’oreal or Clinique concealers. But, I would advise not using make up too much when you have breakouts. For special occasions…cover it up with concealer. But if you’re at home…or if you’re not somewhere important…let your skin breathe. Also, don’t touch your pimples as that can lead to spotting/scarring. And for existing spots…you can ask your Derm for a cream containing hydroquinone which lightens spots (make sure you apply sunblock when going out as HQ makes skin sensitive to sun).

Re: Acne Prone Skin...

and yep make sure you wash your makeup after 3-4 hrs and NEVER sleep in make up.
Try to change your diet a little too.
Try drinking mint water.

Re: Acne Prone Skin...

Re: Acne Prone Skin...

first of all clean your face with milk then try these tips:
mint leaves half cup grind the, one tea spoon white flour, egg white mix them and apply it to your face for 20-25 minutes once a day only 15 days and get ride of acne and oily skin.
Make a paste of salt in vinegar. Rub it on the pimples. Wash it off after 20-30 minutes with little warm water.
Make a paste of neem leaves with turmeric powder. Apply on affected area. Wash it off after 20-30 minutes with lukewarm water. This is a good cure of acne. wheat grass juice is also good for acne try this regularly. Sandle wood, rose water, mint juice mix them and apply on effected area.

i dun believe in herbal or home remedies..they dun work at all..not for me atleast… or they effect sooooooooooooooooooo slowly that one gets frustrated and discontinues it :snooty:

Re: Acne Prone Skin...

neha simply use besan instead of soap.
You dont have to apply and wait.

i used it few years back, when i had severe acne problem and it didnt work at all LP :bummer:

Re: Acne Prone Skin...

neutrogena has an extra extra gentle cleanser that works well..

Re: Acne Prone Skin...

I found that Clinique's anti-blemish really helped clear up my skin...not a single spot in sight now and my marks have faded too, MashAllah! :)

I also apply a besan, lemon juice and haldi mask, which helps soak out the oil and fade marks.

All the best!

Cliniques Anti blemish foundation? or their skincare line?

Re: Acne Prone Skin...

^ Whoops, sorry! I meant their skincare range! :)
