i got my tea tree oil from CVS, you can get it at any cosmetics store too..but u really gotta look cuz its a small bottle, VERY small, but lasts up to a year, um mine lasted two years. actually wait, i got my first bottle at CVS, and then later my mom bought it from a cosmetics store, ya know the store that sells everything beauty related, and you can even ask the ladies there for other oils. but the oil alone doesn't always work, i HAVE to use it with the 10% ben. perioxide, that's when the burning of the pimple takes place. also, try not to get it any other place other then the pimple area. i'm not sure what safi has in it, but when i went to india, my aunts used to make me drink it everyday. it really helped, but it tasted disgusting. i have some at home too, because its available in regular indian stores too, and i drink some every other day. but u HAVE to drink LOTS AND LOTS of water WITH IT. because that stuff is quite garam. yeah that icing stuff should go along with steaming ur face. despite all this, once in awhile, a pimple is bound to appear, but shud kill it before it gets worse, atleast thats what i do. there are also ways to pop a pimple without scarring ur skin, and after u pop it, u can apply the tea tree oil, and it will quickly dry up.
PCG I think you just have the occassional breakouts, not the serious ones. So just find a face wash with salicylic acid (the yellow one from nuetrogena is good too) and use light moiturizers and some benzoyl peroxide perhaps at night time. The key is to keep your face clean at all times and no extra moisture, but ofcourse everyones skin is different. Whatever works for me may/maynot work for you :)
I have had some serious acne in my time, and SAFI didnt do crap for me. I literally drank lots of that stuff. I also tried tea tree oil but since my skin is oily to begin with, i started getting more breakout :(.
I personally like the Murad products. Try getting their 30 days supply (i think for 30 bucks) at any Ulta store or some beauty salon. You can even return it if it doesnt workout for you. But i dont htink you should stress over it too much. Stress causes acne too sometimes, they say :)
yeah murad and proactive are the two best selling products out there. i heard murad doesn't contain ben. perioxide, which i guess is a good thing anyways.
^^, yeah ben peroxide doesnt work well with my kinda breakouts. Murad products are sulfur based (well some of them do ) which works better for me.
