ok.. so i know a few people who are using the pill to help their acne/pimple problem.. actually a lot of my friends were using it during their late teens.. i remember one desi friend of mine.. she was soo embarrassed discussing it with her mum… cus her mum would have thought the obvious..
neways, how can u discuss the issue with ur parents.. like explain to them the reason why u wanna go on it without causing cardiac arrests?

lol the funny thing is u just got engaged so ur parents are gonna be a bit hard :p errrmm have em talk to a doc about it so they know its safe? Why cant u take other medication if they have such a prob with it? my mom was pretty cool with it, its just she was like wat if it creates problems later on but once she talked to the doc she was fine with it..lol n (funny) she trusts me alot

just be like..oh did u know that the birth control pill helps reduce acne and balance out hormone ratios? be all scientific about it..act like you did some hardcore research on it..turn it into a learning experience.

i dont c wat the big deal is about birth control..yeah if u wanna clear up acne, that’s fine…its ur body and i think u have the right to do with it wat u will (a somewhat strange concept for desis..ur body is ur own

lol i know..I was like telling mom about my fiance, n she was was wondering how much he knows about me n stuff n the subject of me takin pills came up n she was like does he know that too? n i was like dahhh theres nothing to hide n i am not gonna start a relationship with lies n bla bla bla but on top of that i ended up saying “actually he was the one who started making me take em” n i think she freaked out for a bit (actually everyone does) hehe but i kinda know our intentions werent bad, so its not odd for us…it was for medical purposes only

yeah i can imagine the perplexic shock desi mom will go into if they accidently discovered the birthcontrol pills in her daughter’s bedroom. I would tell your friend to talk to her mom, explain her why this is better option then other treatments and even show some scientific article or website.
