Its EVERYWHERE. My closets - clothes closets, kitchen cabinets, garage, attic. I started cleaning out the garage today beccause tomorrow i s the “large item” garbage pickup day and out by our curb it looks like a rummage sale. I still have to do the seasonal clothing switch and get up into the attic and start getting rid of boxes (I save boxes to EVERYthing). ack. I made a hard and fast rule for meself…if it hasnt been needed or used in the past one year, out it goes. We have a rather poor area nearby and our curb is usually emptied before the garbage man arrives so this makes me happy. But WHY oh WHY do I hafta save EVERYthing. Sheesh.
Re: ack - CLUTTER!!!!
Good luck mama! It took me 3 hours to just get the girl's closet organized. But I have been follwoing a rule
If you buy something (piece of clothing, a toy) something else has gotta go.
It's just sad how many things we accumulate.
Re: ack - CLUTTER!!!!
My husband hate clutters, thats why he is not letting me buy additional shelves or closets, other than for the new baby .. saying it will be filled with unnecessary stuff, so after 2-3 months he helps me to organize and bring stuff that is not used anymore in the cellar and the good things from the cellar we took to pakistan and gave away and some things came in the second hand cloths containers and some things have to be thrown away after a while.
Re: ack - CLUTTER!!!!
Mama, I know exactly what you mean - it is amazing the amount of clutter that kids can produce. Sports gear, clothing, toys - it's ridiculous! We have a big clean-out twice a year or as needed. The kids get rid of everything that they no longer use, play with, read, wear, etc. Believe it or not, some of their things are harder for me to part with than for them :-)
