What do you hope to acheive in your life and what have you acheived so far? Do you push yourself to do extra or just do enough to get by?

Used to have lots of desires and goals... the older you get the more you either tick or cross off.
I completed all the goals I had as a child but only found that what I looked to as the ultimate success was merely another gateway. You could say all my life I am chasing rainbows, I find the rainbows, I find the pot of gold at the end. But I discard the pot of gold spend the treasure and then see another rainbow... each time the rainbow is bigger and bigger so its worth pursuing and each time the pursuit is harder but more rewarding.
To those looking for an ideal goal in life and not finding it, maybe its not the right goal, find another one and chase it down... if its not right keep looking but never give up.
For me I wont stop until I'm either incapacitated or dead.

I like to set new goals as soon as I've accomplished what I'd set out to do earlier. And yes I do like to push and stretch. It keeps you motivated and excited.

One has to set new goals, once the old ones have been accomplished. Otherwise, life would be very slow and dull.

Just enough to get by which mostly leaves me wondering what I could achieve if I actually put my mind to it.

Sometimes you have to push yourself to the hardest to break out of the loop you are stuck in.

My goal is to lose my tadhbir with Allah (SWT) … It’s such a hard goal

This question popped up in mind due to one of my friend who has a chronic illness. For many people, that illness would stop them from achieving much in life but not her. Along with managing her illness, she is trying to do her masters. Plus she is trying to get a teachers certificate. On top of that, she has taken the responsibilty of doing the major house chores , making breakfast, lunch, and dinner for the entire family. Then she's trying to run a blog and God knows what else.
So I was just wondering, what makes people go so far.

I only had one goal. I achieved it. Now I have to maintain it, which sucks cos it's hard. I should have only ever wanted to be a penguin. I would be an awesome penguin. Life would be a doddle!
