Great thread. For me the foundation never gets right for me.It is either a grease ball or flake festival.I am longing for that polished slightly dewy fresh look that i see in every other woman's face. Some times i even thought of asking them about the products they used.
My skin is dry,but i could never find a foundation that is good for it.It always gets peely flaky after some times. If i avoid setting powder, then it won't last.
Come on ladies help me with some suggestions.Should i try some specific brands.
What's u're regimen like now and what foundation are u using?

I use cetaphil cleanser and L'oreal moisturizer with spf 15.No night cream.I stopped using foundation because it is drying.I am using Covergirl tinted moisturizer. It is good, but no coverage.
I use exfoliation every two weeks.Do some face packs occasionally.TBH there is no regularity in it.
Primers break me out. Ive given up on them. For my routine, I mix moisturizer (philosphy), a lil foundation (lorac) and lorac tantalizer and apply it with my fingertips. I wish I apply it more professionaly but this is just easier. Go ahead mock away!!
In my defense, I break out easily and i can't experiment freely so if something suits me, its a keeper.
I just switched to Bobby Brown foundation after using MAC's studiofix foundation for almost 6 years and I have to say I'm ABSOLUTELY loving Bobby Brown foundations!! I bought both the stick and the liquid from Bobby Brown and I love the way it looks and feels on my skin...:)
Other products I use before make-up include Aveeno positively radiant mosturizer, Clinique's all about eyes concealer or YSL touch eclat', Smashbox primer, bobby brown foundation and makeup forever loose powder...
Yes, my base regime includes products from all different brands but it works for me...
gina I just wanted to ask, what shades do you think are best for asian skin colour in Bobbi brown foundations?because I really want to try it out but have no counter near me. The only other option is buy online but I dont know my shade.thanks!

That's difficult, I'm a 'wheatish' complexion and I use #4 Honey in Bobbi Brown. Foundation can't be bought/ordered online it has to be a perfect match and it has to be tried-on.
A primer always goes-on before the foundation. It smoothens wrinkles and large pores and moisturizes the skin and helps the foundation stay-on longer.
My first step is to always clean my skin.. I don’t exfoliate everyday but I do wash my face with face wash everyday .. twice a day I’ve used a lot of brands and this basic drugstore works best for me. They are all same to be honest, I use neutrogena because its cheap and I need new face wash every month or so. I use Apricot Scrub to exfoliate my skin.
Second step is skin repair and moisturizing. I use Estee Lauder Daywear. Its not my favorite moisture lotion, I use it because I have this for now. Although its nice and exremely popular, the cucumber formula makes my eyes teary .. Next I use Estee Lauder Idealist (I don’t use this everyday). It leaves your skin very very smooth. Its a refinisher. Then of course clinique sunblock.
My new love, the HD foundation. I like the light base. It has a pump, very easy to use. I put some on the back of my hand and use a brush for an even finish.
My concealer with Estee Lauder has a brush already so I don’t need an extra concealer brush. This is NOT a heavy concealer so anyone looking to hide major flaws shouldn’t use it. Its very light watery formula. I don’t like concealers but I am ok with this one if I have to wear one.
Finally, for the glow I use Benefit’s moon beam.
I avoid powder because I feel like it sets in my lines. I can use loose powder but that’s too much work.. LOL!
I use Estee Lauder’s translucent pressed powder if I am using a powder..
