Account Services Scam

Re: Account Services Scam

Hey there, I totally feel you!! I got this mysterious yellow postcard last year and it was addressed to me and said “We have good news for you!” Call us at: and it listed some 888 number. I called and they offered me a free watch if I subscribed to lower rate magazines. Ofcourse I didn’t do it..When I asked how they got my number and what company they are associated with they said it was because I had good credit and didn’t give me a company name..Then about nine months later they sent me the card again..I looked up the address online and found many posts by people saying this so called “company” was a hoax. Plus if you re on the no call list which runs in the U.S. then telemarketers should not be contacting you. Only organizations which you may have donated to or belong to may call you also Scam artists may use the Do Not Call Registry to take advantage of consumers. Don’t let this happen to you! Registering for the do not call list is easy AND FREE..you don’t give unnecessary info like income,credit/debit card number..If a site tells you to do so, it is a SCAM. Here is the official website: https://www.donotcall.gov/
DO NOT PAY MONEY to people who say they will put your name or telephone number on the Do Not Call Registry for you, or “pre-register” you, or “check the status” of your registration. There is no charge for this service.
DO NOT GIVE YOUR NAME, PHONE NUMBER, OR OTHER PRIVATE INFORMATION to people who say they will get your name on the Do Not Call Registry. Only you can sign up for the Do Not Call Registry through your home phone or through the Internet.
STEER CLEAR OF WEBSITES promising to put your name or number on the Do Not Call Registry. These sites are making promises they cannot keep, and collecting information they should not have.
