You all have probably heard of the movie, Passion of the Christ. The resurrection of Prophet Isa (peace be upon him) according to Christianity. However, we muslims believe that Prophet Isa (pease be upon him) was not up on the cross. According to Islam who was on the cross?
Someone. Not Hazrat Isa (Peace be upon him). May as well be Judas.
that's what my friend told me. Once my Christian friend told me that judas was missing after the sacrifice. it makes sense that he was on the cross that night.
Well, Christians don't believe the whole Judas-taking-the-place-of-Christ theory anyway, so its unlikely they will take Judas' disappearance as anything more than the fact that since he betrayed Christ, so he feared for his life. An educated Christian can shed more light on the topic.
yeah . that is right. because they believe that he betrayed Prophet Isa (PBUH)
However, what does islam say about judas. do the muslims think that he betrayed prophet Isa (pbuh)
I believe they do. I have never studies this particular incident with a lot of depth, but summararily, the events leading up to the crucifiction are similar in historical text. The difference in Islamic and Christian accounts is on who was crucified, and whether Christ came back on Easter Sunday. The incident is explained in Quran.
Well, i live in the US and after the movie "passion of the christ" came out everyone went crazy including some of the muslims. I was one those that were trying to tell the my friends what we believe in since they seemed to forget what we believed in.
There are a lot of similarities between the religions before the crusification.
actually the two religions separate when it comes to Abraham's son.

Praise ALLAH!
I hope the following helps, insha’Allah. It doesn’t mention who it was that was on the cross, but it outlines the basic Muslim belief about Isa (AS).
