I finally have an outfit for Eid-Ul-Adha!!!
Its a georgette white A-line kameez (which has some purple embroidery on it) and straight leg trouser (in purple).
To be honest, its VERY plain, and more like normal day to day wear, but my Nani got it made for me so I said I’d wear it!
So, my question to you all, and my plea of help is:
-How should I accessorize it? (I’m thinking silver jewellery?) What kind of stuff though?
and
-What kind of a make-up look would one do with purple? Like, what colour eye make-up and what colour lips?
I barely wear any purple, so I haven’t a clue what kind of make-up should got with it!
[The following picture is just to show you the shade of purple, it’s not my actual outfit]
Thank you in advance and your help is much appreciated!
I think I'll just wear some nice crystal or pearl earrings....I don't think you can wear too many things with these type of dresses. I bought one similar to this in white and I'm just wearing pearly gold jhumkas.
ummm i only got into make up a few months ago, so im no expert but....how about.... a single nude or light coloured eyeshadow, (something like 'sin' from urban decay) all over the lid, with black winged eyeliner. Then for lips and cheeks you could do one of the two: coral lipstick/lipgloss to suit your skintone, with no blush just a of bit bronzer to contour and some highlighter OR nude or pink lips with a peach toned blush and highlighter?
This was the only dress I thought was “okay” when my hubby took me shopping in Rawalpindi for a cousins baraat, very much a make do dress, as her wedding was sudden and I always get custom made dresses for weddings etc. I wasnt that happy with the dress, it also looked very plain. So what I did was break some of those bead bracelets that my mum had bought for me from topshop and then sew the beads onto the dress… I was much happier with it and even more happy that I had customised it when another girl from the boys side wore it on the walima. If you think your dress is plain you could do the same if youre up to it
That’s gorgeous customising! My sewing skills are pretty novice and I don’t know if I could pull off something like this as tidily as you have on my outfit; however, its definitely an idea I shall keep in mind! Thank you!
