BEVERLY HILLS: Nasir Zaidi made his second acceptance speech in ten years at a
glitering gala diner held at Regent Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills to distribute the 71st
scientific and technical Academy Award
The award which covers the technical side of motion pictures was given to Zaidi for
designing and developing the Spectra Professional IV - A Digital Exposure Meter.
Zaidi is President and founder of the Burbank-base Spectra Cine, Inc. He is a member of Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences, a select group.
This is Mr. Zaidi’s second Technical Academy Award in last ten years.
Zaidi is the eldest son of a prominent and senior Pakistani community member, Major
(retd) Syed M. Zaidi.
