AC = voltage supply could be 220v or 110v 50 or 60 cycle.
In Pakistan only 220v is functional and 110v can work through voltage convertor, but,BIG BUT,!!
220v appliance bought else where should have 220v plus 50 Cycle to work in Pakistan. If you use an appliance in Pakistan with 220v 60 Cycle
the chances are that appliance will work normally for few days or months and then FINISHED,!!!
Quite often people buy appliances for Pakistan and they just check the voltage only, and don’t bother to check the cycle reading on the lable.
It is quite possible to buy an appliance with 220v with 50/60 cycle which is acceptable for Pakistan.
Same goes with 110v 50 cycle. it can work in Pakistan as long as you use a voltage converter.
TV/DVD/VCR/HIFI mostly have dual voltage system. But one should check any ways before buying.
By doing this your applinaces will last longer and will be trouble free if used with voltage STABLIZER.
