Poppies, thank you for the offer to help... much appreciated - I'll certainly get in touch once I'm in the planning stages - probably sometime early next year.
I know Dubai has a lot of institutions and I was offered a position when I visited back in 2005 at the American University in Dubai... but at the time I wasn't really interested - and to be honest I was a little put off by the city itself.
Currently, I'm only looking at either AD or Al-Ain, and I'll start contacting key people sometime in January 2010 to arrange for visits and interviews later that year.
Let's see what happens.

well I wish u well regardless.. education is going through a rehaul at the moment but at secondary and primary level- its all good though and very interesting... Im also in the education field so I have my atennaes firmly tuned in!!!!.. keep me posted though!!!!
