aah - this thread reminded me of Al-Ain and my childhood days... 13 years in Al-Ain :) with trips to Abu Dhabi every couple of months.
Informative thread FT ! Thanks for all the info - a lot has changed since I was there... hoping to visit sometime soon inshaAllah and will come back to this thread to find the relevant information.

well I wouldn’t have been much help cuz I was there only until 1995 and a lot has changed since. I went back for a day in 2005 and was taken aback by the extent of commercialization of the small city that used to be referred to as a village. Still, I’d say it’s a nice quaint little town to live in.

Thanks chaotic... Im living and working in ALONEY Al Ain.. I just have to visit Dubai on the weekends just for some "normality" and "LIFE"!!!!!!....Sad I know:)
I find Al-Ain extremely boring.. :S small place.. nothing to do! That's why I stay at the hospital for the entire 4 hour dialysis instead of heading to any mall..

ALAIN FUN CITY WAS USED TO BE A INTERESTING PLACE BUT NOW ITS WORST
anyway adh is the most boring place
after living in dxb,it seems life is dead in adh
