Can absence really make the heart grow fonder?? Or is it out of sight, out of mind? Which one do you agree with?

depends on who the other person is. For some its

boaht azeez hain useey mairee akheen liken
jatey jatey wo ker gaya hai unheen pur-num phir

and for some other its

chaloo acha howa tum rooth gaeey
eik bhool hi tha taira peyaar oo sajna....

Re: "Absence makes the heart grow fonder" vs. "Out of sight, out of mind"

I think for me its out of sight, out of mind.

The less I see someone, the less I miss them.

Re: "Absence makes the heart grow fonder" vs. "Out of sight, out of mind"

i believe "absence makes the heart grow fonder" is more true than the other in most cases

Re: "Absence makes the heart grow fonder" vs. "Out of sight, out of mind"

I think that with absence the heart will grow "fonder" if the person has a genuine interest in you to begin with. If they have very little to zero interest in you...then your absences won't affect them much.

If the person is only concerned about having an ego boost......then your disappearance may make them "curious" about you...but curiosity is not the same thing as fondness. And it's also possible for people to get tired of waiting for a person and move on with their lives.

We have never been apart other than that and i said next time you thinking of going

your taking me and the kids with you!! :snooty:

Re: "Absence makes the heart grow fonder" vs. "Out of sight, out of mind"

^ thats cute.

I think it depends on the depth and nature of relationship.

Re: "Absence makes the heart grow fonder" vs. "Out of sight, out of mind"

For me Absence makes the heart grow fonder. The less i see someone, miss them more!

Re: "Absence makes the heart grow fonder" vs. "Out of sight, out of mind"

If you already liked the person to begin with....then the time apart is more likely to make you miss them. If you didn't have those feelings in the first place.....then their absence may have no impact at all....might even be seen as relief.

Re: "Absence makes the heart grow fonder" vs. "Out of sight, out of mind"

but to me i think it depends also on how ur relationships r facing the "halat" too... sometimes it is better to make someone out of mind if he/she is out of ur site..
