Assalamu 'ala man itaba’a Al-Houda,
since 1010 wasn’t brave enough to open a new thread dedicated to this topic, but despite this continued to bring it up, here is my response to his claims from the other thread:
First of all, 1010, you are suffering from a great problem. And this is you use YOUR own interpretation to define what WE allegedly believe. As I told you, you won’t find a single Sunni scholar who ever interpreted these Ahadeeth in another way than to say that they refer to DIVINELY abrogated verses. Now whether you agree with that interpretation or not, is simply not our problem. So you are free to talk nonsense, but will fail to convince anyone that Ahl ul Sunnah believes in the loss of the Quraan, since we simply don’t.
On the other hand, when I accuse your sect of believing in the manipulation of the Quraan, I do so based on what your eminent scholars themselves said, I don’t use my own interpretation of your Ahadeeth to tell you what you believe like you try.
Anyway, now you declared “Sheikh ul Ta’ifah” Al-Tussi and Al-Tabrasi to be believers in the manipulation of the Quraan. The problem is they themselves denied this and openly declared that they reject such a belief. So if you insist on accusing them of that, then you are declaring them to be liars and not just to be wrong! Moreover by this you are also declaring all those funny Rafidi sites like anwering ansar or al-islam.org to be liars because they always quote both of these Rafidi scholars when they try to refute the Rafidi belief about the manipulation of the Quraan, because according to your logic, they are using clearly wrong statements in their argumentation although they should know better. But it’s getting worse, if you insist on declaring these two Rafidi scholars to believe in the manipulation of the Quraan, you are also accusing every temporary scholar of yours who also tried to refute this well founded Rafidi belief of being a liar, since they all relied on the statements of these two scholars. ![]()
As for the abrogation of recitation, then there are three forms of abrogations:
- Abrogation of both the ruling and the recitation
- Abrogation of the ruling while the recitation remains
- Abrogation of the recitation while the ruling remains
All these forms of abrogation are directed by Allah (swt). Moreover the abrogation is explicitly stated in the Quraan:
“And when We change a Verse in place of another, and Allah knows the best of what He sends down, they (the disbelievers) say: “You are but a Muftari! (forger, liar).” Nay, but most of them know not.” (16:101)
“Whatever a Verse (revelation) do We abrogate or CAUSE TO BE FORGOTTEN, We bring a better one or similar to it. Know you not that Allah is able to do all things?” (2:106)
“Allah blots out what He wills and confirms (what He wills). And with Him is the Mother of the Book (Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz)” (13:39)
These verses were NOT lost by accident, rather the script that Aisha (ra) talks about was lost, yet this wasn’t the only script where these verses were written down, so if if these verses weren’t abrogated, the Sahabah would have included them. They didn’t, why? Because their recitation had been abrogated.
As for the second Hadeeth you copy pasted, it is mistranslated at the end, the original refers to the abrogation of recitation. Al-suyuti himself mentioned it under this title and as we have seen your scholars agreed with that interpretation.
The same applies to the last quote, it refers to the abrogation of verses.
On the other hand I challenge you to find a quote like this by even a single one of our scholars:
Al-Fayd Al-Kashani, author of the Rafidi Tafsir Al-Safi writes:
“I SAY: The benefit from these and other narrations from the chain of Ahl ul Bait is that the Quraan which we have (at present) is NOT EXACTLY LIKE WHAT HAS BEEN REVEALED TO MUHAMMAD (SAWS), BUT RATHER THERE IS WHICH IS IN CONTRARY TO WHAT ALLAH HAS REVEALED, AND FROM IT THERE IS WHAT HAS BEEN CHANGED AND MANIPULATED (“MUGHAYAR MUHARRAF”) AND THAT LOTS OF THINGS HAVE BEEN TAKEN OUT LIKE THE NAME OF ALI IN LOTS OF INSTANCES; AND LIKE THE EXPRESSION <> MANY TIMES; AND FROM IT ARE THE NAMES OF THE MUNAFIQEEN IN ITS PLACES; AND OTHER THINGS; AND THAT IT IS ALSO NOT IN THE ORDER WHICH PLEASES ALLAH AND THE PROPHET .”
you won’t find a single one.
