I absolutely loooooove Abrar Ul-Haq and think he is the best thing to come out of Pakistan since haleem, nihari and Anarkali bazaar, but I just had a question to ask.
Dont u reckon that the songs, style, and videos, well, Jat and Uchiyan Majajan Vali of the respective artists are so similar, and that Jawad’s current style of singing and presentation (personal that is) is sooooooooooooooo similar to Abrar’s???
If it were put to the test who would you choose between the two? I mean if it were to be that only one of the two could remain in the industry, which one would you cling onto for dear life???
Just by looking at the title of this thread, I knew that my worst fears had been realized. Someone actually has had the audacity to compare Abrar, the King, to some commoner.
On a more serious note, I think Jawad is trying to cash in on Abrar's tried and tested methods. Everything about him is becoming redundant. Jawad's videos are becoming very similar to Abrar's. He's singing a lot of Punabi songs Abrar style. He's even mixing English and Urdu like Abrar does.
But my vote is with Abrar 'cause he came first, and Jawad is leaving his original style and only trying to sell records.
It would have been better off if you hadn’t compared the two. Though Jawad Ahmed is a newcomer, some of his songs are very credible and let’s give the credit where it’s due. Give him the chance, give him the time because he seems to be promising.
Abrar-ul-Haq was the first to jump into punjabi songs, bhangra style. He will always be considered one of the best, though sometimes i think some of his songs are too monotonic. If you closely pay attention to his lyrics, you’ll know what i mean, even i could come up with some better words. It’s said that bhangra songs are temporary, they’ll be played for a while and then go, but Abrar keeps them going, one after another and public seems to enjoy it. I guess that’s what matters at the end. I appreciate him.
Although Jawad Ahmed is new, he has achieved a lot during this short time. He should just stick to Punjabi songs becasue he is not good at the urdu ones at all. But I prefer Abrar over Jawad, he is a much better singer, and his lyrics are better.
i dont know what i expected 2 hear when started this thread, but it is clear that Abrar rules.
And whoever said he has been able to maintain his punjab style hit th nail right on the head !
The thing is he is able to relate more to the level of people he sings for, kinda like the boy next door. You feel Abrar is like part of the family, if u watch his interviews, u will find him to be a very down to earth person, whereas, Jawad always looks as if he has let it all get to his head. Apart from his Sufiyana songs (from his first Album Bol Tujhe Kya Chahiye) I dont thing n e much has been impressive.
Guess he should just stick to film music direction, he's doing well in that field!
Good Luck to them both, as long as they keep churning out quality music, they do us Pakistanis proud.
