**>> How did you learn about sex?

Some parents don't have any control over their kids and they let them do what ever the kids want to and see what ever the kids want to. They ignore the responsibility by in the name of "laad and pyaar" to the young ones.

Maybe you were one of those. << **

for your most unnecessary information i learnedt it from ooh wouldnt' you know it - SCHOOL. from a so-called "islamic, all girls private school". yep, more specifically from my friends in school itself. so picture this: your typical setting lil' girls giggling and ewww-ing over it when this subject pops up with one of your gfs.
aah the memories.
and nope, 'rents would have no control over your friends or whom u mingle with at school.
why whatchya gonna do instead - not let your 11 yr old daugher go to school !?!

whatever.

We are talking bout the same 11 year olds who post pics of actors in the image gallery and then drool over em NO?

cooldude what bout your 11 year old sister reading threads where girls fight over guyz?
or show their affection to guyz not related to 'em?

Someone hand me a barf bag

You guys have a nack of responding to everything with all guns blazing.

My point, and my only point was that gupshup is visited by a variety of people, young and old. As moderators of this website you have a duty to protect minors from what they may not understand or is not suitable for them. Posts about Multiple orgasms, Porno Videos, and foreplay is not something an 11 yr should have access to..Especially not on Gupshup.

So what if kids can get sex education from school or from the back of a bike shed.. so what? Does that lesson our responsibility at all? Does this mean that we shouldn’t protect our kids because they ‘are gonna find out anyway’?

Anchal, yes, we are talking about the same eleven year olds that post pics of actors and then drool over them.. should we introduce them to multiple orgasms and porno videos while we’re at it?

I quite like this forum but we’re gonna have to protect kids from it’s content.

Knowledge is invaluable.
It is the mode of presentation and the mode of implementation that counts.

Kids can also get incorrect information or a 'one sided story' if they just look for facts. For instance, looking at some of the posts here, they may get the impression that sex is all about self-gratification and nothing at all to do with emotions... it all counts.

so should we be more careful with the 'mode of presentation' and the 'mode of implementation'?

Absolutely! We should always be careful of what we are saying and how we are saying it.

Most people that have had disputes with censorship on public boards have argued that their rights to freedom of speech had been violated. What they probably didn't consider is that their enthusiasm to exercise their rights might do harm to otherwise innocent and very vulnerable minds. But that's another topic altogether.
