Hadith
Ibn 'Abbas reported: Allah has prescribed the prayer through the
word of your Prophet (may peace be upon him) as four rak’ahs when
resident, two when travelling, and one when danger is present.
[Sahih Muslim Book 004, Number 1463]
Could someone plz explain what a rak’ahs is…?tks:)
a rak'a starts from where u start ur prayer by saying alah u akbar to when u sitdown after the sajdas and recite the kalima... there fore if a prayer has 2 rak'as u would repeat this 2 times , but u will nit sit down after the fist rak'a u will only sit down after the 2nd rak'a.
