I have read the discussion on this topic. every scholer has different opinion about this. i just write only opinions. i think you dont say wrong to anyone of these.

pictures are HARAM as said by the PROPHET sallalaho alaihe wasalam. this group of scholer says that pictures are completely haram.

this group of scholers says that pictures are haram. only pictures that are used for security purpose e.g. passport, nic, etc. etc. are allowed because its in law and govt. is responsible for it, they have to answer on judgment day.

this group of scholer says that in Arabic there is same word for painting and photography. in Islam painting and scaptuales are haram. Photos are only reflection just like mirror. Note that this group of scholers not allow hanging pictures on the wall or keeping pictures of models actors, actoress etc. they say that if you keep photo of ypur family then it is allowed.
these are the opinions of scholers. you all have your own choice of taking opinion. they all are right.you cant say anyone wrong. And i think now there is nothing to discuss on this topic. everything is clear now.
