He is asking me if I know a provider who can help their travelers inn in terms of monitoring and managing their energy consumption. Actually, they already have done all to minimize their energy costs. I’m willing to help him with his request but, I also need your suggestions too. Would you mind to give us an overview or about the best way to use resource consumption in the most efficient manner? Your comments or opinion about this will be much appreciated.

Yuu are quite vague in your querry. Is he trying to cut down his electricity consumption, water consumption, natural gas consumption? Where is his inn located? What kid of climate he needs to protect his guests against?

I’d rather not disclose where his inn is located but they have four seasons there. Anyway, he told me that he was considering hiring a company for their energy management solutions but isn’t that expensive?

You can search for some small consultancy/consultant in your locality who does these jobs for big companies.

You are in luck! I run one of the largest gas energy efficiency programs in the US. In this field for about decade and love it. Tell your brother to contact his Gas and Electric utilities first. Almost all utilities are required to have incentives for Energy efficiency and in many cases, its all free for small businesses. Also look at Water savings by changing aerators to 1 GPM. Instead of hiring an energy management company, first check with your Utility. For example, in my program, we have free audits, management services, a lot of Free installs for our small business customers. You will wonder why, but public policy initiatives in each state mandates utilities to give energy efficeicny services that are funded from consumer bills in small charges. So chances are your bro in law is paying in to some program already. If you can simply tell me name of his electric and gas company I can guide you towards few things .

There are multiple ways to generate electricity such as hydro, coal, wind, thermal and atomic are the best forms to produce electricity. The countries who are suffering from the power shortage should adopt energy efficiency policy to minimize the electricity consumption.
