I guarantee you that nobody will get their requests fulfilled like this. seriously! who on earth is going to scroll through pages of requests?
If I have a song request and I post it this thread…months have gone by and 4-5 pages later this song is still not fulfilled… how do you expect a guppie who has my song to see this request? do you really expect him to browse through so many pages of one thread?
if i have a song request for ABCD and I make a thread entitled “ABCD song requested” it would make it much easier for someone who has this song to see this request because it is in the thread title itself. A person will be more likely to see this request and post a link for it. dont you agree?

If anything, a good idea is to send a PM to ALL the mods first to see what can be done...

Although too many threads with similar titles "need this song" don't look good, but one thread full of request isn't helpful either. Threads requesting one or two songs each gets more attention. If someone has the song, they'll post it, if they don't, they can move on but someone can't miss the request out of a many-pages long threads. So yes, I agree with you.
The thread was opened after several suggestions from the members, however when the same members had concerns and the moderator felt the same, we discussed the issue and came back to the old style of request.

Your first point of contact needs to be the mod. Admins should be contacted if there is no reasonable resolution from the mod in a reasonable time frame.
Please follow the established policies of this site which you as a mod should be aware of. :) Admins can not be around to answer the questions of members because they will then be bombarded with issues and inquiries that pertain to a number of different forums. They simply dont have the bandwidth.
