What’s your take on this issue? Should it be legal or illegal to have an abortion? More precisely should the government intervene into our personal lives.
As a pro-choice supporter I think it should be down to the individual to make the decision.

You have asked the wrong question. But by what moral authority do you make abortion illegal and in doing so infringe on the rights of a woman's body to have an abortion?

The rate of abortions is rising exponentially here in the UK, especially amongst young girls.... if you're going to have sex then use a damn contraceptive.... i don't think these young kids realise the implications of aborting a baby... i know of several (desis included)girls who are on their 3rd/4th even 5th abortion... it sickens me.... you said you are pro-choice, Slickstar, and must think it's ok for such individuals to have several terminations, as "it's up to the women to have control of her fertility"?????... Well i am pro-life in this sense and think said individuals should be more responsible when having sex, as it seems they don't realise the true implications of what they are doing... which to me is murder.
Khair, if the mother's health is at risk or the birth will present a grave injury/risk to her, then i don't object.... but terminations at a time like over 20 weeks when the 'foetus' can be identified as a baby i think is ethically/morally/logically WRONG..... all my family and my hubby are doctors, and i remember when they explained to me how the different abortion methods work... the way they described it was horrific, but it really hit home what the procedures entail when i watched a documentary which graphically showed the different abortion procedures.... i was crying through the whole thing it was so horrific..... as a mother myself, i could never imagine doing such a thing, and i hope i am never presented with such a situation.

If you make it legal, then the rate of abortion will rise significantly, because girls will know they will be able to abort the child easily once they get pregnant so they will have sex 24/7 ! 
And if we don’t make it legal then the same girls will moan and bechare doctors won’t get enough customers either to earn a good living.
What should we do then? Legal or illegal? I say make it Legal !

The idea proposed isnt about morals or ethics. I'll be honest, I'm a libertarian, I think the govt has no reason to mandate social policy to do with drugs, sexuality, blah blah.
I also feel neither you or I have the right to force the hands of other people non whatsoever on this ground. Acceptable moral issues, sure, but for this, which is clearly a matter of choice, if you don't want an abortion then don't have one and don't support it but do not restrict other people.

cuz if the other ratio is higher then i believe its better if ppl should be stop in being in illegitimate relationships rather than worrying about the aftermath.

Abortion has always been a tricky topic, to sum abortion is murder but to others it clearly isnt a big deal as one of the members has said that she knws of ppl on there 4th or 5th abortion which frankly is horrific. But no matter hw against abortion u may b wht do u guys think abt abortion when sum1 has been raped, do u really think they will want 2 give birth to that child, which will b a constant reminder to that woman/girl of wht had happened to her, and more so especially if u are a desi the social implications of having a kid outside wedlock??

I am pro-choice.
No one in this world other than the MOTHER herself should be the decision maker.
She knows the situation best. Be it an accident, rape, or just realizing she won't be able to take care of another human being, should be good enough reason for abortion.
Gov should not interfere and neither should religion.

It should be conditional in my views. Allowed under circumstances (rape, etc..) and illegal under otherwise (oops hubby doesn't want a baby this month, or we "broke up" and i don't want the baby anymore).

If the condition is set by the female involved in the situation then I support your argument. However, if the conditions are set by an external body such as the government or any other organization of influence it should not be supported under any circumstances.

If the instance is first (i.e. a case of exception like rape, etc..) then the victim which is the woman, would definately be involved and it would be her choice and she would be extended the courtesy.
