Ablution before Quran!

Re: Ablution before Quran!

If it has Arabic text, one must make wudhu.

It is. And that is why a woman should not read Qur’an during her monthly cycle. There is a “new” movement out there where some women scholars say you can wear gloves and touch the Qur’an during that time and read by breaking the ayaahs so it doesn’t sound like recitation. Ummm…why are we making religion so complicated. When a woman is exempt, I’d happily accept it.

Yes.
So to answer your question, A Qur’an that has Arabic and any other language still contains Arabic so one must make wudhu.

Islam is about submission. Why try to find a way around it. It’s like we all know to shorten out salah during travel and read qasr. Some people insist on reading the full rakaah. Like why? When Allah has prescribed a benefit, take it.

See this is what I said. That a Qur’an with translation still has Arabic in it hence wudu is required.

Re: Ablution before Quran!

^^ Jee, you said right!

Re: Ablution before Quran!

Peace,

School of Thoughts have different opinion. Some say its oky to touch/read Quran without wudu but some others says its mandatory. Similar to that I read they said its oky to read in women's special days.

I think the only way to know whether is mandatory or not by seeing what majority from these school of thoughts agreed upon.

Re: Ablution before Quran!

Lets make things simple and easy for everyone. Do anybody have problem to touch/read Qur'an after doing wudu? In fact there is a great Ajar (Sawab) one who perfrom wudu. Please see hadith.

138 hadith found in 'Ablutions (Wudu)' of Sahih Bukhari "Narrated Nu'am Al-Mujmir: Once I went up the roof of the mosque, along with Abu Huraira. He perform ablution and said, "I heard the Prophet saying, "On the Day of Resurrection, my followers will be called "Al-Ghurr-ul-Muhajjalun" from the trace of ablution and whoever can increase the area of his radiance should do so (i.e. by performing ablution regularly).' "

Its oky if one don't wish to do wudu but if you do wudu, you'll feel freshness and also get great Ajar (sawab).

Re: Ablution before Quran!

If touching Quran without Wudu is ok then while you are reading Quran, it should be OK to break Wudu.

Think how disgusting and disrespectful would that be to keep reading Quran and keep passing gas.

Have some common sense people, please.
