Acceptance of Islam due to the philosophy of Wudhu
A Muslim invited a university student in Belgium towards Islam and to his surprise, the student asked about the scientific benefits of Wudhu. The Muslim became speechless therefore he took the student to a scholar but the scholar could not tell him either. Eventually, a person told this student many benefits of Wudhu but could not tell him the benefits of wiping the neck so the student left. A few days later, the student came and said, 'During a lecture, my professor said that if you wipe the back of your neck on both sides with a few drops of water, you will be saved from spinal illnesses. Upon hearing this I fully understood the virtue and benefits of wiping the neck in Wudhu and therefore I want to accept Islam' and he became a Muslim.
First of all, there are only 4 steps for ablution and wiping the neck is not one of them.[Quran 5:6] O you who believe, when you observe the Contact Prayers (Salat), you shall:
(1) wash your faces,
(2) wash your arms to the elbows,
(3) wipe your heads, and
(4) wash your feet to the ankles.
Secondly, the Islamic scholar is lying. There is no mention in the Quran of water drops preventing spinal disease, let alone scientific evidence. It is simply an attempt to justify man-made innovations added to the ablution ritual. GOD is very, very clear in 5:6 how to perform the ablution. 4 steps. No more, no less.
