Fraudia, while I agree with most of your points, my initial post was made in response to your claim that he owes royalty to those artists.

That is something which i dont agree with you on, as the whole “copyright” issue is unIslamic, and besides…even if he pays them off, its more likely that the money will be invested in music, which is haraam as you’ve rightly stated.

Giving away the money, that he earned from Haraam sources is definetly the best thing to do.

he can easily reach out to them and agree to donate the agreed upon sum to a charity of mutual choice. the problem is that he does not even want to acknowledge the issue.

if copyright issue is unislamic, i guess I can start selling junaidjamshed label clothes…and he should not have an issue with it…you think he will like that
