Abdominal ulcer and Pregnency

if someone have abdominal ulcer but on initial stage and it is getting better day by day and the same time she wants a baby .. is this good for her health to get pregnant at the same time?

Re: Abdominal ulcer and Pregnency

yeah
baby doesn not grow in stomach. So even if he kicks it wont hurt the ulcerous spot.

Re: Abdominal ulcer and Pregnency

You should really see a doc about it. Ulcers are usually caused by a bacteria called H-pylor and are cured with antibiotics and pepto-bismol. Antibiotics typically dont interfere with pregnancy - but again, check with your doc.

^That too, and try to have a well behaved baby, so he would kick less.

Re: Abdominal ulcer and Pregnency

Ulcer and acidity may get worse with pregnancy.

But it can be safely treated.

Some changes in eating habit are necessary, like eating small amount but frequently and not eat late night, sleeping in head up position as much as possible.

Your prenatal doctor will help further. It is best to avoid many medications during pregnancyif at all possible. Except vitamins.
