Desified/fobby FOBS are actually quite cool, you can have a decent conversation with them in Punjabi/Urdu no matter how educated they are they wont act like wannabes, they’re down to earth and don’t need to prove themselves, they’re not trying to be something they’re not that’s why ABCDS respect them, but the burger FOBS make a complete fool out of themselves thinking they’re ‘it’ and that’s annoys everyone coz there are not, and you know what’s worse? When it hits home that they can never be westernised which to them is “cool” they start criticising everything American/English and putting down ABCD’S as stupid and loose.
In seriousness, I don't think we can make such broad generalisations. Pakistanis living overseas have grown up in different circumstances and surroundings and it all depends on how family values, religion, culture and language have influenced ones upbringing.
ranjhan bhai jaan, the way i see it is that at least FOBs behave more in line with their culture. Unlike these some of these ABCD namoonas who think they are either white or black.

and as far as FOBs being in line with their culture, I have no problem with that as long as they are not part of the footpathia, chichora sub-culture that exists there.
The way someone dresses, their looks or their talk is not as significant as what kind of person they are. One can wear his pants down or up, have long hair or buzzed, wear collared shirts or tees, jeans or Dockers, listen to Metallica or Kishore, the bottom line is that if the person is good at heart, honest, considerate & bring smiles to people around him than all is cool. It don’t matter if you are hip, bitcch, down, jigar or burger, what matters is that you are great from the inside.
