what you have to understand is that that was an era of many personalities mela FOB Fraudia was just one of them. I have been among em so long that I can mimic em easily.
yours truly was born in UK, childhood spent in UK and KSA, 2.5 years in Pak, and majority of my life in US. so I am a very diff character. i also spent another half of my like in burkina faso and with some time spent on mars and in a few other dimensions..i also spent a few summers in ancient egypt, and then spring breaks in samarkhang and bokhara, mongolia when it was relevant and china..its complicated

Someone please provide definitions of each category. What qualities make you a FOB vs ABCD. I am not sure what I am. I was born in Pakistan, but raised in US. Neither a fob, neither american born, and surely I am not confused.
you are a transplant..
fob is somsoen who just showed up from the old country
transplant is someone who moved here at an early age so they may be cd but not ab.
a sob is someone who arrived as a fob, has been here for long nuff that can not be considered 'fresh' off teh boat..so they are stale off the boat
a vob, veteran off the boat is someone who was a fob at one time but now is fairly unfobbi-fied and in some cases more american than abcds, and in some cases not...
then you have hybrids like meself.
you also have ppl likle firenze who are abfobcd, american born fresh off teh boat confused desi, these are ab who were transplanted to the old country and then moved back here.
i know, they are two words
