Has anyone ever went to Abbottabad? Hows the city?

It is awesome . Ok I was born there , so I like it little bit more . But I think over all it is a nice place to live . A lot of schools and colleges . Weather is awesome too . Not very huge though .

My parents were born there! Lovely place :)! I visited in 2007. My mom went in July 2009 and she says that it has changed quite a bit. Lots of people, pollution and cars! But lovely place never the less!

I have been to Abbottabad 4 times. Its such a beautiful and peaceful city. The weather is awesome all year long which makes it a great city to live & visit.

Thank you ppl. Seems that Abbottabad is quite a interesting city. So i should go there.
Definitely! Its clean and green with some good places to eat out. It was once the city of pines and even now there are still a lot of trees. Do visit Shimla Paree and Thandiani if you get time. I used to love walking around Abbottabad when I was there. Its not a big city and nor a wide one but very long! The people are fairly open minded, not conservative as the rest of NWFP. It has bee very free of bombings, militancy and related problems. If you visit in the summer you will find the climate not as oppressing and if you do you can always escape higher up.

Abbottobad is cool place not busy like lahore also has good countryside and mountains.
But it has lot of rubbish and pollution near the bazaar which is called ghandhi baazar by locals :shoaby:

Do visit Thandiani, but be careful on driving. It is zig zaq and narrow road uphill. while climbing, initially u will feel it just an ordinary hill but once u reach top, its awesome. green and in distance u can see snow capped mountains. Also, Natihagali. Sit at a place named MURTI between Nathiagali and Ayubia and enjoy Paki Switzerland.
In Abbottabad, do visit ILYASI MASJID and have Pakora's there.

I visited this nice city couple twice, each time it impressed me, I think its one the best city of NWFP . rest mustan mentioned it very well.

love it. I lived in a room where right from the my pillow I could see mountains.
Did hrs and hrs of hiking. Took bath in river saren.

when i went there i got to feed monkies...they were soooooo many of them!!!
