Re: Abayas
that changes tho Mindless… sometime back it was the side closure.. now abayas with a coat kinda cut with side or front closure are “in”… … ppl are still wearing the side closing abaya in pakistan tho.. guess they liked that the best hehe…
PCG: nothing hides ure body like an abaya.. not even a sari. sari will still show ure shape (just try wearing a loose sari.. u’ll walk right outta it
)… abayas dont give off shape.. unless ure wearing those fitted ones..
and i also doubt most women wear it cuz they wanna show they are good muslims… most of the women in my family wear it (pakistan)… but not cuz they wanna be good muslims.. just cuz they dont want every single ali, mahmood and qudoos staring at em.. even a dupatta or chador draped right wont cover u up.. most chadors end at the ass… phir?! and during summers.. have u SEEN the lawn fabric now… its insanely thin! even one chameez doesnt hide much!
p.s) I wear it cuz i live in Saudia
Re: Abayas
hmm is it kinda gay to be here seeing abayas lol ..wotever i just think they really do look elegant and graceful. i think most of desi larkia r just so damn crazily involved in westernized dressing kay they dont just realize the beauty of modest clothing..
i do remember a friend of mine during shools days who wore abayas but most of her firends used to put her down for this fact and that really pissed me off at time.. its just some galz really need to get a life lol...not to mention most of you are good :)
i would really want some of these for my future larki .... they just simply look cute!!
Re: Abayas
Hmmm i've changed my mind. Abayas r kewl. They're certainly an easy thing, there is absolutely no way an abaya can be slutty. I wud do both, abayas, or regular kapray :)
Re: Abayas
^ dude you cant wear a abaya without a hijab!
Re: Abayas
Erm, I meant if I decided to do hijab, I'd wear an abaya too. I don't feel that it's necessary, to wear an abaya wit hijab, but some of these r so pretty, how can u resist....
Re: Abayas
Saudi and Jordanian abayas and jilbaabs are the best. :k:
Pakistani burqa/abayas are just weird.
Unfortunately, the decent ones are very expensive over here and the reasonable ones aren’t all that good.
I always have to rely on my relatives travelling to Saudi to bring me a few.
Re: Abayas
nice but i dont wear one...but now i wish i did :)
