Abayas

Re: Abayas

I wish i could get them cheaper...but i dont live in pakistan...so cant get them from there...and the moroccon/arabic shops wont charge u less then $60...but even more...

Re: Abayas

Very pretty.. love the first one. :)

Re: Abayas

60 dollars plus is too expensive. Abayas and Islam are about modesty and that should extend to not only modesty of dress but also in spending.

I used to get mine from Oman but I only have black ones from there. The kaam and bead work done on them is beautiful though. I wish I could post something but don't have a camera.

There are a lot of tailors who are pretty good at making abayas in Pakistan and do lovely embroidery on them. I got a dark blue colored abaya made from this really thin cloth with a tea pink underlay and embroidery in that same shade of pink all over the abaya. It's beautiful and even though I don't wear abayas anymore, hehe I've still kept them because they are nice to wear sometimes. Modesty aside, they look very elegant.

Re: Abayas

I wear a hijab but I will NOT wear a hijab on my wedding. My wedding dress will be low neck and everything else.

Re: Abayas

Moroccans have another lang they speak called “berber”. However, they do speak Arabic its just sounds funny thats all. Every Arab nation speaks a different kind of Arabic, but at the end they all understand each other.
