F&B, Kya karlela hai re! Thokonga tujhay..!! ![]()
That is a real awesome movie. i wont say it is very close to reality but certainly away from bollywoodish fantacy.
Patekar is a genuine actor. I like the conv between him and zaheer at the end.
both were aware about the possible threat from each other yet pretending to be indifferent of it.
Plus the scene where his wife dies, they didnt exggagrate it . she got killed without usual bollywood style "pre death dialogs".
:two thumbs up:
Awesome movie...very well made.
whos the guy who played suchak? He was impressive - of course Nana Patekar was awesome...
The ending sucked! I mean which mafia don is going to let an ex-cop hover behind him and not have a single henchman within call? Nana just slits his throat and walks away cool as cucumber. That'st the trouble with bOllywood, they have to screw it up somewhere!
On the plus side, it was a racy movie with interesting characters. Zameer and Nana's telephone conversations. Funny stuff, almost like they wanted to be friends. So what happened in the end? Does Nana stay on in Dubai and work undercover or retire or what??

Hey karina, you wont believe this but its true. I have seen the exact same situations, with exact same kind of people in my life. The way they talked on phone is exactly how cops and mobs talk. Trust me on this, my dad is a bad ass cop.
The way nana used to talk with everybody like "thok dete hai na saab", or the way he talked to zameer or his good old boss is all the reality of life and it happens everyday.
sometime i wonder how come ram gopal verma know all this.
And you know movies like satya or shool which seem to be real life movie are more away from reality. But yes there are lots of things which are far from reality, like the way they showed the department is like a killing squad, killing people everyday which is not true.

Believe me, that all happens.
Karina, what did you want? A complete ending, where he gets his job back, there is a medal awarded etc etc...
I am disappointed.. :(
third class sadistic movie
matsui- i just wanted an explanation of what happened in the end cause i coldn’t understand it. But now that you mention it, a promotion and bonus would have been nice.![]()

AB TAK CHAPPAN
Thursday, Feb 26, 2004
By: Rajdeep Gupta
Starring: Nana Patekar, Revathy and Yashpal Sharma
Producer: Varma Corporation
Director: Shimit Amin
What really happened with N.Chandra’s KAGAAR shouldn’t happen with Shimit Amin’s AB TAK CHAPPAN. Interestingly though both based on the life of Mumbai cop Daya Naik the latter deals it in a more realistic way. The film delves into the life of the common man, which he has apart from being an encounter specialist.
AB TAK CHHAPPAN, starring Sadhu Agashe (Nana Patekar) and his wife Revathy, is based on the life of an encounter specialist. Sadhu leads a highly creditable team, which has Yashpal Sharma also, and believes the only way to wipe out crime, is kill the criminals. He meets a lot of obstacles in his path amongst, which Imtiaz Siddiqui is hell bent to move him from his post.
Sadhu meanwhile develops friendship with underworld henchman Don Zameer Zafar. Situation becomes further complicated with the appointment of a new commissioner. He along with Imtiaz Siddiqui makes Sadhu’s life miserable. Watch AB TAK CHAPPAN to know what happens eventually.
Ramgopal Varma carries his EK HASINA THI tradition of songless films and quite rightly so. Shimit Amin whose ground is in USA did editing of BHOOT, and is no newbie with camera. He has been full praise for Nana and Revathy. The film has hard-hitting dialogues and superb camerawork.
Nana Patekar who breaks his long hiatus with AB TAK CHAPPAN would be praying that the movie works. The movie releases on February 27, 2004, and wont be surprised if it can pull a hit in a desert of flops in Bollywood.
