the songs I listened to were so BORING
I always thought Aaroh were Sound Garden wannabes .... they are a good group though!
Irem, they have one album out and at that time it was just one Aaroh. They broke up after that album. Kamran and Nabeel on one side and Farooq & Khalid on the other. Aaroh was started by Kami and Nabeel. When all the differences in the band began Farooq announced that he had kicked Kami and Nabeel out of the band. There is still a court case going on. Farooq released the video of Na Kaho with himself and Khalid but it only aired for a few days and Kami and Nabeel got the stay order from the court.
The Aaroh that gave the music for Indian movie Rakht is Kami and Nabeel. Many people beleive they are the real Aaroh. They will be performing in August in Ireland. I just listened to a Hamd Kami and Rahat recroded. Its not the final mix but its still really nice. They re already working on their second album which they are hoping to release sometime later this year.
A little correction to that, Kami and Nabeel have won the case and now there is only one Aaroh. The court had given stay order to both parties time and again but now finally they have rules in favor of Kami and Nabeel.

One correction here. Real problems started to surface when Nabeel hired Rahat Ali khan to sing for Rakht though Farooq was still the lead singer. Nabeel took him in confidence but apparently Farooq had other ideas.
