What is going on here? Even the underground bands are now acting like bufoons?

Aaroh is not an underground band. They were the winners of the battle of the bands too. Did you know Kamijee wrote JJ's 'Us Rah Par' and is very talented.
I haven't heard this new song, but whats wrong for singing songs for Indian movies? All the great ones did it, from NFAK to Mehdi Hassan. Kamijee works side by side with Shaoib Mansoor and we met him in chicago recently at a junoon concert, very talented guy! Best of luck with him and his band.
you guys should be proud. I have no problem with indians admiring our artist and putiing them in their movie.

I believe Rahat Ali Khan sings this song and this was the reason Aaroah broke up. Anyway, spock is right. Kamijee is a talented guy, I know him since his saudia days. Though the band is not his, but he has a deep input there and Nabeel is an awesome guitarist.

I just find it really really annoying that every other hoo haa pakistani band/singer is trying to do soundtracks now in India...
When our own Pakistani movies ki halaat are ... well... you know.
Okay, so when Sameena Peerzada made Sharaarat, or when A. Pota made Fire or all the other attempts that were made to make a GOOD MOVIE...where were all these pop/rock artists? Instead these movies bombed, and a big factor that people didn't even bother checking the movie out was that the soundtracks were really bad.
India doesn't NEED Pakistani artists to come in and make soundtracks. Pakistan NEEDS Pakistani artists. If they want to make songs in India, fine. But then at least devote some time to a director in Pakistan TRYING to revive the industry there.
PCG....i dont think, the bands actually go out asking movie makers..if they could do a song for them. They make plenty of money from their concerts and their albums.
Its the movie makers who actually approach the bands...in the quest of doing something different, bringing a fresh touch to their background score. And why would'nt the so called "hoo haa bands"....go down there. They are promoting their music, and the Pakistani rock scene.
So the point was .... dont blame the pop scene, for the sorry state of the Film Industry. The pop scene was no where 15 - 20 yrs ago, and now.....our bands..are known internationally.
It's the fault of the movies.....they are the ones that fell from grace, could'nt keep up with the times and as a result are left out.
^^ I agree, if Sameena Perzada wanted music done by one of the bands then she should have approcahed them, no point in complaining now that they are giving music for an Indian movie. Kami and Nabeel went to India to promote Aaroh debut album "Sawaal". They didnt go there with the intention of signing on movies, they were offered to do a titel track of the movie which at that time they thought of as no big deal. After coming back from India Kami got a nemerous calls from India. Thats when him and Nabeel worked on the song. I dont see anything wrong with that, Ali Azmat did Garaj Baras for them and people made a big deal. Aaroh does Rakht and people make a big deal but NFAK did music for Indian movies too why didnt anyone complain then ??

PCG, it was Sony who approached Nabeel, not the other way around.
^ I think shes confused, even I didnt know about Kamijee's talents until I met him. Everyone would love to have such an awesome musician (and his band's) services for their work.
HBK.... Rahat is mostly there to play flute and give backing vocals, Shehzad Mughal will be the lead vocalist of the band. Shehzad was offered a movie while Aaroh was in India as well. They will be releasing their debut album Sawal in India soon and they are also planning on making a video for Rakht.
Kamijee did the last two solo albums of Junaid "Us Rah Par" as well as "Dil Ki Baat". All the guitars played in Dil Ki Baat are by Nabeel. Kamijee wrote songs like "Us Rah Par" "Na Tu Aaegi" "O Sanama" along with "Tu Hai Kahan" that he did for Strings, JJ and Haroon.
