Why do your write poems?
Why do you share poems -
Copy and paste poems
of others?
Do you want to be popular?
Take advantage of the original
writers not acknowledging them,
making us believe the poems
came from your gifted pen?
I read poetry for it helps
me make sense of my world.
I write poetry because I want
to tell something to the world.
I hope you do too.
I acknowledge others’ works.
I respect their scholarships.
I pay them due respects.
I hope you’ll do too.
Note: I would like to make a
humble request to you all that
whenever you post works of other
poets, please give the source - at
least mention their names. Otherwise
please do mention ‘anonymous’, ‘source
unknown’ etc. Thanks.
