Not many ppl like him in Pakistan. But he is different. His musical experiments and variation in vocals are one of its kind.
In my personal opinion, I rate him as the top vocalist along with Jawwad and Rahim Shah, when it comes to voice quality and singing capablity on low and high notes. :k:
P.S: Shehzad Roy has a beautiful voice too, but he has a bad sense of music and his accent ruins the remaining effects. He has been living on chori ka music for last 5-6 years, remaking old Paki tunes. However, I must say that he renders high notes very easily.

^ I don't know about that. I was in contact with him for 3 years when I was running his website/fanclub, I never felt anything religious in him. Having said that he is a very senstive person (and his music speaks for his inside), but he is not a team-worker or cooperative. He left Karavan because of his ego clash with Asad Ahmed. Other artists don't like to work with him, since he is so adventurous and takes risks that nobody else would ever think of. He is jamming with Shehzad Hassan of ex-VS these days. They both have almost same kind of musical influence, more on the blues and country, with a nature of experiments. Najam got married in 2001 with only 4 friends in the Nikkah ceremony. He didn't invite anybody from showbiz. His wife is from a middle-class family. He studied in Atchison and Lahore Engineering with Jawwad and JJ.
