AaNchal yuN girey sar sey ke saarey hat gaey pardey
nai tehzeeb ke ye lach’chan mujhey achey nahi lagtey
na’janey kiuN saNwartey heiN sabhi ja kar dukanoN par
ye chehroN par rang-o-rogan mujhey achey nahi lagtey
zara si ghaas aur kuch phool ghar ka haal badaltey heiN
bina baagheechoN ke aaNgan mujhey achey nahi lagtey
sabhi kehtey heiN mat bolo bura deikho to chup saadho
merey kirdaar pe ye bandhan mujhey achey nahi lagtey
meiN sab tanqeed nigaaroN ko bohat azeez rakhta hooN
haaN kuch dost-numa dushman mujhey achey nahi lagtey!
